  Grottaglie è celebre per la sua tradizione millenaria della ceramica. I partecipanti visiteranno il caratteristico quartiere delle ceramiche, entreranno nelle botteghe degli artigiani locali e scopriranno le tecniche di lavorazione tramandate da generazioni.

  Visita a Casa Vestita e corso di ceramica
  La visita continuerà a Casa Vestita, una residenza storica situata nel quartiere delle ceramiche, che ospita un’antica cantina affrescata scoperta durante lavori di restauro. Qui, i visitatori avranno l’opportunità di immergersi nella storia nascosta del luogo e di ammirare gli affreschi conservati all’interno della cantina. Parteciperanno inoltre a un corso di ceramica, modellando manualmente o al tornio i propri manufatti.

  Passeggiata nel centro storico per visitare la Cattedrale e le articolate viuzze, impreziosite dai murales realizzati dall’artista Paolo Carriere.

  Goditi un pranzo domenicale alla pugliese, con prodotti stagionali a chilometro zero. Il menù comprende antipasto, primo, secondo, dolce e caffè, per scoprire i sapori autentici e semplici che rendono la cucina pugliese una delle migliori d’Italia.   The day begins with a journey to Grottaglie, renowned for its millennia-old ceramics tradition. Participants will visit the charming Ceramics District, where they’ll step into local artisans’ workshops to discover the traditional techniques passed down through generations. Guests will also have the opportunity to interact with the ceramists and admire the creation of unique ceramic pieces.

  Visit to Casa Vestita and ceramics workshop.
  Next, the visit continues at Casa Vestita, a historic residence located in the Ceramics District, featuring an ancient frescoed cellar discovered during restoration works. Visitors will immerse themselves in the hidden history of the site and admire the preserved frescoes inside the cellar. Additionally, they will participate in a ceramics workshop, shaping their own pieces either manually or on a potter’s wheel.

  Tour of Grottaglie’s historic center.
  A stroll through the historic center to visit the Cathedral and the intricate alleys adorned with murals created by artist Paolo Carriere.

  Lunch at a traditional restaurant.
  Enjoy a traditional Puglian Sunday lunch featuring seasonal and zero-kilometer ingredients. The menu includes appetizers, a first course, a second course, dessert, and coffee, offering an authentic taste of the simple yet exceptional flavors that make Puglian cuisine one of Italy’s finest.
